It’s nice to have a staycation sometimes and The Hampshire Court Hotel & Spa is only a 45 minute train journey from London Waterloo, here’s what three bloggers got up to on a girls spa mini break.
You would have probably seen it all over my Instagram feed that myself and two of my blogger besties spent a girls weekend at The Hampshire Court Hotel. It’s not everyday or even every month that I get an invitation to join a girl’s Spa break to enjoy pure relaxation and when I did, I jumped at the opportunity! The hustle & bustle of London and the blogosphere moves at such a fast pace, that I often neglect time for myself or for my friend and to enjoy some pure relaxation.
The Hampshire Court Hotel & Spa is a large 4* 90 bedroom hotel, with free parking and wifi and only 45 minutes from London. If that was not enough to persuade you to come stay then here are five reasons to visit The Hampshire Court Hotel & Spa.
1.The Welcoming Staff
I have to start off with mentioning the incredibly welcoming staff at The Hampshire Court Hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a big smile and warm welcome, I instantly felt comfortable knowing I would enjoy my time there. I did have few problems with my room key but as soon as I called reception from my friend Charlotte’s room they quickly arrived outside my door to with a new key card.
2. The Food
Everyone who knows me knows how much I love my food! For me this can make or break my staycation. As soon as we checked into our rooms and quickly freshened up it was time for lunch in the bar over looking their courtyard. The service was with a smile and the food was truly amazing, after travelling it was nice to take comfort in a tasty lunch. I had the club sandwich and chips, but there was a lot to choose from the menu and I’m sure you will find something scrummy. The dinner was held in the back restaurant, I then decided to go for the fish which tasted so fresh placed across potato gnocchi and spinach. After that it was time for fancy cocktails in our own private room.
3. The Rooms
The 90 room hotel has spacious room at affordable prices, the hotel offers great value package deals all year round so keep checking their website for their latest offering. The bedroom I stayed in had it’s own little balcony which did over look the car park which was unfortunate but I appreciated the abundance of light it let into my room making the space feel so much bigger and brighter. The bathroom had enough space for all my makeup and toiletries and a massive mirror. I even found time to enjoy a relaxing bath after all the fun we had that night.
If the charming atmosphere, spacious rooms and delicious food wasn’t enough to make you want to visit this hotel, then the Spa and the extra facilities should do it for you. Having a spa, gym, swimming pool and sauna right on their door step this makes this hotel the ultimate place to unwind. After a breakfast it was only a short walk to the spa and even though there was a mix up of timings the fully body scrub was worth the slight hassle. I felt so relaxed and totally removed from my body which is the only way I can describe it. After my body massage and scrub I happily enjoyed being in a soft robe and fluffy slippers for the rest of the afternoon. The Hampshire Court Hotel also has two swimming pools one for children and the other for adults. This provided a little oasis for us to enjoy the steam and sauna rooms whilst reflecting on our stay.
5. Staycation goals
- There are plenty of big and fabulous hotels in London and surrounding areas, but sometimes all you want is a homely and relaxing feel after what seems like an exhausting time spent in a big city. Grabbing a couple of friends or family to enjoy a long weekend is just what the doctor ordered. I have never laughed and talked so much in what feels like forever. For three bloggers who are always trying to engage with our follow ship on social media, the time we took away from being glued to our phones and to enjoy the moment was an experience that is priceless. The staff did everything in their power to make our stay the best it could possibly be and for that reason I will be returning to The Hampshire Court Hotel & Spa.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank The Q Hotels group for a wonderful stay and to Jamie from BeautyRocksBlog and Charlotte from Hair, Hauls and Health for making my time so memorable! Hope for many more girls getaway trips for the future.
Thanks so much for reading and let me know if you have any plans for a staycation this year.
