Winter can wreak havoc with our complexions, especially as we indulge in comfort foods…yes we are all guilty of eating more mince pies then we should. So I created a short video for my YouTube channel to share some tips I’ve learned along the way for better clearer skin. Don’t worry I’ve included all my top products & tips right here also, continue reading to find out more.
I first take off the day’s make-up with face wipes, I love using Pixi Moisturising Cleansing wipes. With added Chamellia oil, they don’t dry out my skin.
The Clarins Instant eye make-up remover is great to take away left over waterproof mascara and eye-liner. Just add a few drops onto a cotton pad, hold over your eye then wipe. This tackles heavy duty eye make-up that, but also doesn’t irritate my eyes.
Ever since I discovered Liz Earle products, it completely changed my life. Ingredients such as Aloe Vera, rose scented geranium and cucumber all give the cleanser an amazing scent! The scent really relaxes me, which is just what I need before I go to sleep.
Something I have recently introduced to my routine is a vibra-sonic cleansing brush. For maximum cleansing results I massage the Liz Earle cleanse and polish with the Magnitone London face brush. The brush helps to empty out pores and tones skin. This gives my skin a deep cleanses and is gentle enough to be used everyday. Then I wash my face and tone using the Liz Earle Instant Boost tonic.
I’m in my mid 20’s so I’ve started using eye creams. I like to look after my skin especially around my eyes as that’s where you tend to age first.
For eye cream I love using Clinique’s all about the eyes cream, it’s helps to reduce circles & puffiness. It has a light weight formula and sinks in really well. A little goes a long way.
After that I use Heaven age defiance cream, this has Vitamin D and hyaluronic acid which is amazing for the skin. It increases elasticity and reduces lines, this will also help give luminosity to my skin. For the ultimate pampering part of my routine I use the Clarins Lotus face treatment oil. I warm it up in my hands and love to inhale the aroma. Then gently pat into my skin.
Then finally to finish I always like to put on lip balm before bedtime to make sure my lips stay plump and soft. I recommend Burt’s Bees lip balm as they use all organic ingredients.
Once every fortnight I will use a face mask, right now I’m loving Charlotte Tilbury’s Goddess Skin clay mask. It has more of a cream formula for extra nourishment. Clay masks are great to draw out impurities and reduce the amount of black heads. The key ingredients include:
• Spanish clay absorbs oil and draws out impurities without drying.
• Sweet Almond and Rosehip Oil nourish and delay signs of skin ageing.
• BioNymph Peptide Complex boosts collagen production and improves elasticity.
• Essential oils create a smooth, hydrating formula that never feels chalky or dry.
• Frangipani Flower Extract boasts soothing antiseptic properties and leaves skin cashmere-soft.
