Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful NYE.
It is at this time of year when we all evaluate everything, and for me, recently I have been slightly struggling to keep on top of everything. My marketing freelance work is becoming more demanding, keeping the blog up to date with fresh content and pretty pictures! Whilst still trying to enjoy a social life too, I’ve had to knuckle down and create a real plan of action. So 2016 for me is going to be my most organised year yet…hopefully!
Although I know you don’t need a New Year to change, I like to set myself goals and make a plan of action on how to achieve them. So here are some of my New Year resolutions.
Something that I know I really need to work on is my procrastination! Working from home can be rewarding but also bring difficulties to keeping myself motivated. I tend to jump from one task to the next, meaning at the end of the day I often have lots of unfinished projects. Moving forward, I want to focus on one thing at a time, whether it’s getting a blog post completed, photography, tweets planned and scheduled, or a task I have to for my freelance work. This year’s goal is to ensure that when I start a task, I finish it, case CLOSED!
Both my job and my blog require constant attention and so planning ahead with them both is crucial. What I hope to stick to this year, is taking some time at the weekend to jot down everything that needs to be done in the upcoming week, so that I can manage my tasks more effectively. I hope to write one blog post a week minimum along with a new YouTube video, so it is essential to plan ahead so I can share with you all the best of what I can give.
Take Time Off
I’m incapable of just sitting down and relaxing…..I actually feel guilty at times. I feel the need to constantly be doing something, whether it’s sorting out my room/office, organising my work or even finding the time to fake tan myself. My inability to just sit and relax means I struggle to catch up on my favourite Netflix series. In 2016 I hope to spend more time with those that matter most, my family, friends, my cute dog Prince and now most recently adding ‘boyfriend time’. Hopefully by organising my time better, I’ll be able to find time to switch off, and just enjoy some ME time!
I hope my 2016 goals help you not only in the new year, but in your everyday life. Wishing you a very happy 2016, I love and appreciate each & every one of you! I can’t wait to share more of my life with you guys this upcoming year and beyond <3
