The long and warm summer nights have arrived in London, so I’m ditching my usual black date night attire and adding crisp whites and colour.
I’m not usually a pattern trouser wearer as I get conscious of my hip/thighs and I feel patterns draws in attention to those areas. But these Zara skinny trousers don’t have a crazy busy design so it’s flattering and I don’t mind it so much, so if you share the shame concerns as I do but still love patterns I recommend these trousers from Zara. And under £30 they are a bargain!
I paired this great summer essential with my favourite white cami (a girl should own at least three variations of the classic white!) and this plunge v-neck cami is under £20 from Topshop. Although I advise to try a size down as it comes up one size too big and the sides of your bra will show (like mine did). I get lots of wear from white cami’s it’s because they can be paired with any pattered trousers, tucked into high waisted skirt and even be popped into your beach bag to wear over a pair of cut-off denim shorts.
As for the accessories I always like to go minimal in summer. With the weather being warmer I don’t like to wear heavy pieces of accessories. Although don’t get me wrong I am a girl who likes her statement necklaces. It’s just I tend to go for more dainty and light pieces in summer. My tan Prada bag again is a classic piece and goes with most outfits. It’s an investment but worth it, I’ve used this bag so many times and still looks new (brought at Bicester village). I’ve shown a similar below. I completed my look with my Michael Kors watch and Monica Vinader bracelet which I’ve had for years.
What would you beauties wear on a date night?
