More women than ever are being told that they have Breast Cancer. I’m sharing some of my favourite brands that are supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month with their limited edition products. Keep reading to find out more.
It’s still not too late to support such an amazing cause, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The month of October has been dedicated to funding research and raising awareness of the most common type of cancer, which is estimated to affect 12.5% of women in the UK. This topic is so close to my heart and I wanted to share my top limited edition beauty picks to suit every budget.
Merci Handy x COPPA FEEL, £2.90
Meric Handy has such cute packaging, the “tee-shirt” like label that you can remove to reveal a boob-friendly design is for such a great cause. This pocket-size bottle with the big hearts is a nice little reminder for us to be constantly checking our breasts for lumps or bumps. This limited edition Merci Handy bottle leaves your hands feeling soft and delicately perfumed with all of proceeds donated to Coppafeel!
La Mer Breast Cancer Awareness Moisturising Cream, £65
The legendary Crème de la Mer, a product I rave about to all my friends and on my social platforms. This pretty in pink La Mer moisturiser is nutrient-rich with their iconic Miracle Broth and now in support of The Estee Lauder Companies Breast Cancer Campaign and comes in special edition size of 15 ml and beautiful pink packaging. La Mer will donate £19.50 from the purchase price, but unfortunately I’m unable to find a link online to it but I highly recommend visiting your nearest John Lewis store to grab yours while stocks last. (Leave a comment if you know where to buy this product).
ghd AIR® Pink Blush Hairdryer and Styler, £99/£165
Ghd is a brand that has support Breast Cancer Awareness for over 10 years with their annual ghd pink campaign and this year the theme is Vintage Pink, with the proceeds raised going to Breast Cancer Now.
These vintage blush pink models which include the Platinum styler, paddle brush and hair dryer. What I love most is that the ghd hair straighter helps minimise heat damage to your hair, so there’s no need to sacrifice sleek and healthy lengths. This makes for such a beautiful gift. Ghd will donate £10 to Breast Cancer Now.
I hope this post has been insightful, beauty doesn’t need to be skin deep but can also help other women in the community. Big or small there is something we all can do to raise awareness, whether that’s sharing your breast cancer story, supporting other women to purchasing a beauty item that donates proceeds for Breast cancer research and helping women during chemotherapy/remission.
The most important piece of information I would like you to take away from this post is please to check your breast regularly, please do not think that you are invincible to cancer. Cancer can effect you in many more ways then one, perhaps not to you directly but through a loved one. Let’s all try to be more proactive in discussing breast cancer with our family and friends more often.
