Recently I have been exploring the world of high end make-up and naturally the first luxury brand that came into my mind was Yves Saint Laurent. I have always been an admirer of their Rouge Volupte Shine lipsticks but have never taken the plunge to purchase one. Now that I feel I’ve gained more experience in beauty through blogging, I can now test to see if YSL is worth the high price tag. My Quick & Simple Make-Up Tutorial
Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Vinyl Couture is a multitasking product, that will take you from day to night. They come in 9 powerful shades and my favourite are #1 I’m The Clash which is a black so intense it will make your lashes look so voluminous and #7 The Craze which is an ultra-violet for your inner daredevil and will make brown eyes pop. The Masacara Vinyl Couture come in 9 fiery shades and 2 mesmerising sparkle top coats. I’ve tried the sparkle top coats and I have to mention you will not find any fall out of glitter or flakiness.
Infused with 4 sensuous oils including argan oil, sweet almond oil, carthame oil and castor oil these mascaras not only give you amazing volume, colour and shine but they nourish your lash follicles. Together the mascara strengthens lashes and makes them beautifully shine from root to tip, giving you the ultimate lash care complex.
The Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Shine have been on my make-up wish list for a very long time and it has lived up to the hype. They are the most beautiful lipsticks I have ever laid eyes upon. The outer packaging reflects how luxurious the product is and I love the pink band which hints to the colour of the lipstick. I say lipstick but it’s more of a melting balm-like product which gives great shine and still a high pigmented colour to the lips, the formula is very moisturising and incredibly comfortable to wear.
The oil based formula with added hyaluronic acid micro-spheres helps to seal in moisture and hydrate the lips to prevent drying out, while antioxidants provide extra protection. I have shade #8 Pink in Confidence, and it’s such a beautiful shade of rose nude pink and smells a little like watermelons. I can not wait to get my hands on a few more shades of these lipsticks because they honestly make me feel special and proud when whipping it out of my handbag.
Black Opium Nuit Blanche Eau De Parfum is the new interpretation of the iconic YSL Black Opium coffee signature scent. I’m not the best at describing fragrances but this scent makes me feel seductive and lasts all night long. The sleek bamboo style bottle with the clear pink centre is so appealing and I find myself being drawn into it and in return people are drawn to me when I have this spritzed on. I wouldn’t say this is a summer scent but definitely perfume for a a long evening in London or the streets of Paris.
The iconic white floral heart of the original Black Opium Eau de Parfum is electrified with a burst of energizing aldehydes and aphrodisiac white musk for an all-night adventure
